Long Time
June: We went on vacation with our friend Gary (who is remarried and now has a set of twins along with their two other children). Gary and Carmen met us in Florida where we stayed at mom and Bernie's place (the kids stayed home in Missouri). We have this tradition when we get together where we try to surprise each other with a silly string battle - I had told Gary we wouldn't do it this year (wrong). We cornered them once we got to mom's unit in the garage (and ended up getting yelled at!) So it was a fun start and gave us all something to talk about during the week. For the most part we all wanted to relax so we hung out at the pool or beach and went out for dinner and drinks. We did take a few days and drove to Orlanda (Seaworld and Arabian Nights). Dan and Gary chartered a boat and fished Tarpon. They both caught fish and had a great time (you could tell by the way they just rambled on and on about it). Our vacation ended with the guys surprising us with a bottle of wine at sunset on the beach. We really had a great time and miss having Gary around to hang out with. We are hoping to go to Missouri soon to visit them. Thanks again mom for letting us use your place!
July: We went to Dan's boss's wedding. It was "near" St. Michael's in Maryland. Great wedding, great food, etc. We drove with Dan's friend Justin and his wife Kim. I drove back since I was the one that didn't drink. I was just recently able to catch up at work after our June vacation. Dan got an Apple computer so we'll see where we can go with the graphics and video. As a cool free gift Apple gives you an IPOD nano (so I'm downloading songs on that). Our little kitty has wandered off and I have no idea if he's gone for good or just looking for a girlfriend - the longer it he' gone the more I'm guessing he may not be back. Too bad, he was a cool kitty. We've gone to the movies a lot (Clerks II with Justin and Pirates of the Carribean - we took our niece). Dan's birthday is next weekend and that is full already! Pretty soon it will be time for our next vacation in the Outer Banks! At some point we had some major flooding and our stream behind the house was over the banks (first time we've seen it flooded so bad).
Here's to a good August! I'll post soon (I also need to start getting ready for school)!

All I can say is, it's about time....thanks for catching up. Great pics. By the way, didn't that stream flood last year sometime?.....Lisa
Yes, the stream did flood, but this was the worst we had seen it. We measure it using the rock by the stream.
