Here's a Funny

Someone emailed me Maxine funnies (and I hope Im not breaking some law by posting one of these). This one made me smile...




Home: Not too much going on these days. We had one evening where it was lightning and thundering and snowing. Did not get much snow. I'm about to write this winter off for snow and snowmobiling! Darn. Maybe next year. It's superbowl weekend coming up and we will do our usual with going over Rocky and Val's. Hope I have good numbers on the pool! Speaking of which, I use to chase Cody around the room playing football when he was 2 and 3. I thought when he would get older that would stop and I wouldn't have to chase him - WRONG! We were playing football in the yard so now it's just longer strides and he's a little harder to catch! I like to hear him laugh though when I get close. I eventually got tired and suggested we toss or kick the ball for a while which he was happy with.

Work: Things should be hitting fast pace soon and leveling out by mid May. Went back to school and am thinking of taking a course over the summer too, to prepare for Fall. One more year! I didn't realize to get the first degree it takes a little over 60 credits, then to get the next, only 30 and so on... No wonder it's taking me twice as long! I really like on-line courses and hope I can keep going this way. I also may want to change my major to graphic arts after I get this first degree. We'll see.

Dan: He's happy. He's almost reached his goal of loosing a certain amount of weight. I hope both of us can get into some workout routine together maybe when spring gets here. He's working in D.C. right now on a project that may end sometime in the summer. His company's bull and oyster roast is in a few weeks.

Misc: We went to a friends son's 18th birthday over the weekend. Dee lived in Baltimore City, had 6 kids, and basically on welfare. Our friendship started through a girl Karen that had lived in Chapel Manor (she dated Dee's brother). To make a long story short, we would go over to check on her (sometimes take food) and just hang out and play with the kids. Mike, her oldest turned 18. I think he was 3 or 4 when we met Dee. Sean was always our favorite since he was the most neglected/picked on. He may be the first to graduate and when he does (pray he does) I hope to do something nice for him. Dee's life is the kind of life I'm glad we avoided (and makes me thankful for what I have). I can give her some credit in that she never did drugs, did the best she knew how for the environment she was in, and eventually got on her feet. I could write a book about that family and all the stuff that went on. I'll post before and after pictures with the kids next blog.
