Chief 1997 - 2007

Chief during the summer: He really couldn't walk anymore so he spent his days laying in his bed watching stuff.
We knew that after 3 days of not really eating (and stopping on the second all together) that it was time to put Chief to sleep. He wouldn't touch any food we made for him and only wanted to stay in bed. There were a few other signs that said it was time too. That's always the hardest part... taking them to the vet. Everyone there was very very helpful, professional, and caring (at the vets). He may have lived a few more days but why let him suffer if he wasn't eating.
Dan and I had a spot picked out where to bury him, its on a hill overlooking the stream. I helped Dan to put him in our little casket we made and then cover him (besides he was a really heavy dog).
Thats all Im writing right now.
