*Christmas *Christmas *Christmas

I get tired of it not being "politically correct" to say Merry Christmas!! I think I'm thoroughly exhausted...loosing track of what day it is here lately. Too much going on (maybe next year I can take it easy). On a good note I got an A in Management and a B in Biology!!! I worked hard this semester too! Now I get to rest until February when classes start again (and I'll need to decide on 2 courses or 1).

Dan: Off work until next year. Working with Bill in the meantime. Got a welcome raise from work and good review. I told him he gets off easy every year since I do all the christmas stuff!! So he has been nice offering to help. Good thing ;-P

Home: The other day when I went home the driveway (our driveway towards the house is downhill) was covered with ice since the snow never melted and then sleet came. I had the break applied but kept sliding right on down toward the house. I started wondering if I was ever going to stop and luckily did right before the turn. Now we probably won't thaw out until spring unless we get a couple of warm days!

Work: It's gotten pretty busy - end of year stuff. I wish I could write half the crazy things the staff say or do but probably not a good idea. I can tell a funny little story... I saw an old aquaintence Bill (he's an african american) that I use to work with - we exchange small gifts every christmas... anyway I know he likes chocolates so that is what I got him. Not really thinking I said, "Chocolates for a chocolatey man" and we both started laughing - I'm glad he's got a sense of humor since I really didn't mean the way it sounded! He said, "Yeah, dark chocolate." Ahhh.... he, he..... it was pretty funny at the time.

Little History and Babbling

"1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue!"

Home: Had a good laugh with mom. As my history lesson from B started with "In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue" mom and I bursted out laughing since it came from a slightly intoxicated B. Then she kept repeating it while B was trying to explain the history of conflicts with people and I couldn't listen since I had to try really hard not to laugh and offend B. I couldn't wait for him to finish so I could leave and chuckle a little to myself. Everytime he talks to me tonight I'm afraid I might lose it if he starts on the history stuff. Thanks mom!

Work: The dinner at Outback went well. Had some good laughs. There is always one particular person that makes us all laugh (or gasp)! What a group. HR has definately proven to be one of the most unique group of people I have ever worked for.

Me: Went snowmobiling over the weekend. Why am I usually the only girl participating in these activities (sometimes Terry joins us)? I do pretty well keeping up but still not quite as confident in some of my balancing and speed. I usually peter out faster too but that's a good break for the guys so they can go do whatever and not have to wait or keep an eye on me! Same thing for rides lately too - some of the girls I go with won't get on roller coasters - I love roller coasters (my favorite this year was the Rock N Roll Roller Coaster - although it didn't last long enough).

Dan: Mentioned I looked frumpy Sunday morning (my hair goes every which way ya know)! I said sorry I can't look like Angelina Jolie for you when she wakes up in the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Then, "But, you must really care about me to see me like this all these years and stick around." So later he was looking for his lost 4 Wheeler key and I came out to help in a pink robe, black mask thing of his that covers most of your face and hair (think grim reaper) and his black boots! Ha, Ha I said, "How do I look now!" We didn't find the key, so I proceeded to the shower and he passed the test.

The Treemont Grande

Pictures from the Treemont Grande (Downtown Baltimore) This is where we had dinner. All the contractors/subcontractors were invited who had a part in renovating this building. This building is about 100 years old. It used to be an old masonic lodge.

The Rennesance Room

The Roman Room

The Mirror Room

Here we are! I made Dan stand on the steps since he was one of the shortest of the group!

Work: Some thing different day. We are supposed to be going to Outback in White Marsh for our work Christmas party this Friday. Should be fun. After dinner, people may go over to Dan's (a recruiter) for desserts. Dan lives in Seven Courts near my mother's old townhouse. Lisa's mother lives over there also. I'm thinking of stopping in this year to see her parents. It's a little slow at work right now with the holidays coming up. Other than that nothing new to report.

Home: Nothing new here either... waiting for a good snow storm so we can go snowmobiling. Squirrels are living up in our rafters. One morning I was standing at a window just watching them move the insulation from one side of our house to the opposite side. I'm sure we'll have baby squirrlies by spring. For now I'll have to deal with the walnut mess they keep making. Chickens are fine although we lost one of the old hens. Not sure how long they are supposed to live. The retarded chicken (mine) is looking awfully onery charging at me here lately - if he wasn't so small I might actually be scared.

Dan: Getting into the hunting scene this year. Usually he just runs around with his gun and chases them down. He invested in a tree stand and some other gun stuff. He had some of his friends come over to hunt too. Nothing like waking up to gun shots opening day (I left for work that day). One year (on opening day) all of the hunters were in the woods and as I drove down our driveway there was a heard of deer (about 10) all huddled together by the road! Not a hunter in sight! LOL

More Later!
