Uh Oh!

Work Blurb: I hate this dress! I was trying to help a fellow employee, Barb, map her printer. Chris was talking to us and all of the sudden he turns around (a fellow Catholic) and tells me I need to fix my dress! It was unbuttoned right at the center of the bra. I know I was red faced and he was too! So the only thing I could fumble to say was, "Well..... it's not like you haven't seen it before" and Barbara starts laughing and says, "Yeah, but not yours". So then we were all red faced and laughing. So this dress is getting shelved. How embarrasing!

Dan Blurb: Dan is trying to finish up at Gettysburg - he wants to be home more. Although the drive to Glen Burnie will be something for him to get used to again.

Home Blurb: I can't keep surprises in too long that's for sure! I showed Dan I could drive the car (he was smiling) so I took him out for a spin. He definately noticed my improvement. Just a little choppy. Mom goes out with me for practice - brave soul. We have guinea hens incubating. They should be hatching sometime near the end of next week!

The Fish has Had It!

Work Blurb: Big joke in the office - a HR employee's fish is dying (they are on vacation). The big boss was suppose to be taking care of it. Now we have an ongoing vigil on the fish waiting for it to croak (it floats upside down or on it's side with shallow breath). I volunteered to put together the obituary while big boss "fish killer" schemes to pick up a new one. We may name it, "Found Nemo". No one was willing to give the fish mouth-to-mouth or would it be mouth-to-gill?

Dan Blurb: Dan is a workaholic. He wants to fire any employee who doesn't produce. Can't blame him. Still in Gettysburg working overtime.

My Blurb: Drove the stick shift again, this time to church (must need some guidance from somewhere), to the grocery store, then to the school! Ha, ha, and did not stall yet. I had to take it on the main roads this time. I noticed the gas is almost empty - Dan is sure to find out soon! Can't wait to surprise him!

Introductory Post

Warning: You may be subject to boring, corny, or very dumb posts. I will try to keep out the ho hum day to day stuff to a minimum but I can't guarantee some won't get through.

Hello, a little background on myself and Dan. We are both 35 and have pretty much been together since high school (awww, you may say) - we have definately experienced a lot of the sorrow and joys that come with being being a couple, but I wouldn't change a thing. We live in a rural area on 40 acres, 30 of which is rented to a farmer (pays part of the property tax). We have a dog, numerous small livestock, and fish. Our house is more cabin like than a normal home but that's the way we like it. We both care greatly for our families.

This photo is from the Kennedy Space Center (for some reason not being able to see who is in the space suite seemed creepy to me. The trip to the space center was cool - I would definately recommend it!

Dumb Blurb for the Day: Mom says to me, "you guys need a black berry." I told her, "we do have black berries." She said, not the berries - it's an electronic gizmo. So we had a good laugh. Ahh living in the country. Guess I need to keep up with this stuff more. I don't need that stuff... In fact I would like to get two hives of bees!

Irritation for the Day: Someone who is supposed to be in a higher level position than you smacking gum and wearing flip flop sounding shoes at work. Where is our professionalism? Without good examples the rest of us start to follow bad examples - I hope not to let that happen. Also, people who should be working and stand around talking for an hour or two (if there is no work, fine.)

Dan Update: Working in Gettysburg. Not liking his employees who slack off too much. Wanting to be home more. Is working on our videos from vacation. And has no idea I'm practicing how to drive our stick shift car!
